1.1 A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money to construct an outdoor​
1.3 waterpark in the city of St. Cloud for the St. Cloud Area Family YMCA.​
1.4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; ST. CLOUD AREA FAMILY YMCA OUTDOOR​
1.6 WATERPARK.​
1.7 $7,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner​
1.8 of employment and economic development for a grant to the city of St. Cloud to design,​
1.9 construct, and equip an outdoor waterpark attached to the existing St. Cloud Area Family​
1.10 YMCA facility. This project will help to fulfill a long-time community desire for an outdoor​
1.11 waterpark attraction that engages all ages, creates multigenerational connections and spaces​
1.12 to enrich relationships and foster community, and provides leadership development for​
1.13 youth and young adults with job and volunteer opportunities. This is a onetime appropriation​
1.14 and is available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes,​
1.15 section 16A.642.​
