1.1 A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a Hmong Cultural Center​
1.3 of Minnesota facility in the city of St. Paul.​
1.4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; HMONG CULTURAL CENTER OF MINNESOTA.​
1.6 $2,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner​
1.7 of employment and economic development for a grant to the Hmong Cultural Center of​
1.8 Minnesota, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, to predesign, design, construct, renovate,​
1.9 furnish, and equip a building in the city of St. Paul to provide programming and resources​
1.10 to celebrate Hmong culture and enhance cross-cultural awareness. This appropriation is​
1.11 onetime and is available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota​
1.12 Statutes, section 16A.642.​
1.13 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.​
