the cotton mill in Rockingham, North Carolina, when he married Carrie Lee
McCoy, in Union County, North Carolina; and

Whereas, he joined the

Whereas, funeral
services for Officer Robert M. McFadden were held on November 5, at the
Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. A crowd of thousands including city

cold rain to pay their final respects to the fallen officer. American Legion
and National Guard members laid Officer McFadden to rest with full military
honors in the Legion Plot of Laurelwood Cemetery. Company I fired three volleys
in salute and a bugler sounded Taps to conclude the ceremony. Officer McFadden
was survived by his wife, Carrie McCoy McFadden, their son, O'Neal, four
brothers and two sisters; and

Whereas, Officer Robert
M. McFadden was inducted into the South Carolina Law Enforcement

Officers Hall of Fame in 2020, never to be
forgotten; and

Whereas, it would be
fitting and proper to name a portion of Saluda Street in the City of Rock Hill
in honor of this fallen law enforcement officer. Now, therefore,
