HOUSE BILL NO. 485

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES 1
OF THE CITY OF BALDWYN TO ASSIST IN PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH 2
CONSTRUCTION, ENGINEERING AND RELATED COSTS FOR PAVING SMITHY 3
DRIVE IN THE CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2025. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the governing authorities of 8
the City of Baldwyn, Mississippi, to assist in paying costs 9
associated with construction, engineering and related costs for 10
paving Smithy Drive in the city for the fiscal year beginning July 11
1, 2024, and ending June 30, 2025....................$ 102,595.00. 12
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 13
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 14
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 15
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 16
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 17
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 18

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 19
