Statement of purpose of bill as introduced: This bill proposes to require the 7
servicing and cleaning of wastewater systems at least every three years. The 8

of wastewater systems that would require regular cleaning. The rules would 10
require those systems requiring regular cleaning to be pumped and inspected 11
for issues and have their components cleaned if necessary. The bill would 12
require that, upon completion of servicing, the person servicing the wastewater 13
system submit a record of the servicing and cleaning to the Agency of Natural 14
Resources. 15
