1.1 A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to arts and cultural heritage; appropriating money to Minnesota Public​
1.3 Radio.​
1.4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; MINNESOTA PUBLIC RADIO.​
1.6 $2,350,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $2,350,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from​
1.7 the arts and cultural heritage fund to the commissioner of administration for a grant to​
1.8 Minnesota Public Radio, Inc.:​
1.9 (1) to create original on-air and digital programming, live events, and arts education​
1.10 opportunities and to amplify artistic, musical, historical, and cultural information and​
1.11 activities on multiple platforms that reach the entire state;​
1.12 (2) for programming that enhances the artistic and cultural ecosystem across the state​
1.13 through partnerships with working artists, musicians, historians, and writers;​
1.14 (3) to continue to grow representation of and support for Minnesota's communities of​
1.15 color and Indigenous communities in radio programming; and​
1.16 (4) to support preservation of and public access to Minnesota's history through the​
1.17 Minnesota Public Radio audio archives.​
