1SENATE RESOLUTION

2 WHEREAS, Moms on a Mission has been vital in Illinois by 

3providing outreach, guidance, and advocacy for mothers, 

4grandmothers, fathers, and their families; and

5 WHEREAS, A child's parents are the foremost authority in 

6the needs of the child; and

7 WHEREAS, Every day, mothers and grandmothers stand up for 

8the rights of their children and advocate for their needs; and

9 WHEREAS, Many of these parents and grandparents visit 

10Springfield to advocate on behalf of legislation that supports 

11their children's rights; therefore, be it

12 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL 

13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we declare May 6, 2026 

14as Moms on a Mission Day in the State of Illinois to honor 

15mothers, grandmothers, fathers, and their families who stand 

16up for children's rights; and be it further

17 RESOLVED, That we welcome the mothers, grandmothers, 

18fathers, and their families to the Illinois State Capitol on 

19May 6, 2026, particularly those who are here for the first 

20time; and be it further

1 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 

2presented to Moms on a Mission as an a symbol of our respect 

3and esteem.
