AN ACT to amend the labor law, in relation to exempting municipalities
from certain prevailing wage requirements
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Section 220 of the labor law is amended by adding a new
2 subdivision 10 to read as follows:
3 10. To the extent not in violation of the provisions of article nine-
4 teen of this chapter or the provisions of the federal Davis-Bacon Act,
5 the provisions of this section shall not apply to public works contracts
6 entered into by any county, city having a population of less than one
7 million people, town or village when the contract project has an aggre-
8 gate value of less than one hundred thousand dollars.
9 § 2. This act shall take effect on the first of April next succeeding
10 the date upon which it shall have become a law.
