A house RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE MAY 10-16, 2026, AS "HOSPITAL WEEK IN
sOUTH CAROLINA."

Whereas, the American
Hospital Association and the South Carolina Hospital Association have
designated May 10-16, 2026, as Hospital Week in South Carolina; and

Whereas, the purpose of
Hospital Week is to acknowledge the work of hospitals in supporting the health
needs of communities every day; and

Whereas, South
Carolina's hospitals and health systems contribute over thirty-six billion
dollars in total economic impact, support thousands of jobs, and generate
thirteen billion dollars in labor income statewide; and

Whereas, the impact of
hospitals is possible because of the preparation, dedication, and compassion of
the health professionals they employ; and

Whereas, on day shift
and night shift throughout the entire year, health professionals working in
hospitals strive to meet the healthcare needs of all South Carolina citizens
and visitors to our State; and

Whereas, the health and
well-being of our communities and our people will ensure a prosperous,
productive, and thriving State of South Carolina. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the
South Carolina House of Representatives,
by this resolution, recognize May 10-16, 2026, as "Hospital Week in South
Carolina."
