competition, thereby bringing honor to themselves, their schools, and
their communities; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Cayden Bowman, a sophomore at Horseheads High School, upon
the occasion of capturing the New York State Public High School Athletic
Association Division I Bowling Championship on Saturday, March 14, 2026,
at AMF Syracuse Lanes; and

outstanding average of 239.67; and

WHEREAS, Throughout the championship event, Cayden Bowman exhibited
extraordinary consistency and competitive excellence, never recording a
game below 224, and achieving a commanding margin of victory of 72 pins
over the nearest competitor; and

WHEREAS, His performance was distinguished not only by its dominance
but also by its balance, as he recorded two separate three-game series
exceeding 700 pins, underscoring both endurance and sustained precision
under pressure; and

WHEREAS, Cayden Bowman's achievement represents a significant
milestone, as he becomes the first student-athlete in his school's
history to earn a state championship title in bowling, marking a proud
and historic moment for his community; and

WHEREAS, Such an outstanding accomplishment is the culmination of
countless hours of dedication, disciplined training, and a steadfast
commitment to excellence, qualities which are worthy of the highest
praise; and

WHEREAS, Cayden Bowman has clearly demonstrated that athletic

pursuit of one's goals, serving as an inspiring example to his peers and
future generations; now, therefore, be it
