Full Text of SJR0047 • Home • Legislation • Full Text SJR0047 - 104th General Assembly • Bill Status • Full Text • Votes • Witness Slips Select Menu Bill Status Full Text Votes Witness Slips Printer Friendly Version Introduced Printer Friendly Version Introduced Open PDF SJ0047LRB104 19439 MST 32887 r 1SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, Senate Joint Resolution 103 of the 89th General 3Assembly provided in part that "the part of U.S. Route 14 that 4is within the State of Illinois and is currently known as the 5Northwest Highway is designated as the Ronald Reagan Highway"; 6and 7 WHEREAS, The General Assembly chooses to amend that 8designation; therefore, be it 9 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL 10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF 11REPRESENTATIVES CONCURRING HEREIN, that the part of U.S. Route 1214 that is within the State of Illinois and is known as the 13Northwest Highway is designated as the Ronald Reagan Highway, 14with the exception of the portion of U.S. Route 14 that lies 15between Broadway and Ridge Avenue (also known as Ridge 16Boulevard); and be it further 17 RESOLVED, That the Illinois Department of Transportation 18is directed to alter or remove signs, markers, or plaques that 19were placed in accordance with Senate Joint Resolution 103 of 20the 89th General Assembly to the extent that the alteration or 21removal is necessary to conform to the amended designation; 22and be it further SJ0047- 2 -LRB104 19439 MST 32887 r 1 RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be presented to 2the Secretary of the Illinois Department of Transportation.
