SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 1078

A JOINT RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE CONFIRMATION OF THE
APPOINTMENT OF RICHARD CONDER MADE BY THE GOVERNOR TO
MEMBERSHIP ON THE NORTH CAROLINA UTILITIES COMMISSION.

Whereas, under the provisions of G.S. 62-10, appointments made by the
Governor to membership on the North Carolina Utilities Commission are subject to
confirmation by the General Assembly by joint resolution; and
Whereas, the Governor has submitted to the presiding officers of the House of
Representatives and the Senate, the names of his appointees to serve full terms on the
North Carolina Utilities Commission;

Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Senate, the House of Representatives concurring:

Section 1. The appointment of Richard Conder to the North Carolina Utilities
Commission for a term beginning July 1, 1997, and expiring June 30, 2005, is confirmed.
Section 2. This resolution is effective upon ratification.
In the General Assembly read three times and ratified this the 2nd day of July,
1997.
