SECTION1.ThatSection34-303,IdahoCode,be,andthesameishereby6
amendedtoreadasfollows:7
34-303.APPOINTMENTOFELECTIONJUDGESBYCOUNTYCLERK.(1)
The8
countyclerkshallappointtwo(2)ormoreelectionjudges,one(1)ofwhom9
shallbedesignatedchiefjudge,andthenumberofclerksdeemednecessaryby10
himforeachpollingplace.Intheeventasinglepollingplaceisdesignated11
fortwo(2)ormoreprecincts,anindividualmayservesimultaneouslyonthe12
electionboardfortwo(2)ormoreprecinctsthusservedbyasinglepolling13
place.Theprecinctcommitteemenshallrecommendpersonsfortheposition14
intheirrespectiveprecinctstothecountyclerkinwritingatleastten15
(10)dayspriortothedateonwhichanyappointmentshallbemadeandthe16
countyclerkshallappointthejudgesfromsuchlistsifthepersonsrecom-17
mendedarequalified.18

Thechiefelectionjudgeshallberesponsiblefortheconductofthe19
proceedingsinthepollingplace.Compensationforallelectionpersonnel20
shallbedeterminedbytheboardofcountycommissioners,andnotlessthan21
theminimumwageasprescribedbythelawsofthestateofIdaho.22

Eachelectionboardshallcontainpersonnelrepresentingallex-23
istingpoliticalpartiesifalistofapplicantshasbeenprovidedtothe24
countyclerkbytheprecinctcommitteemenoftheprecinctsatleastsixty25
(60)dayspriortotheprimaryelection.26

Inordertoprovideforagreaterawarenessoftheelectionprocess,27
therightsandresponsibilitiesofvotersandtheimportanceofparticipat-28
ingintheelectoralprocess,aswellastoprovideadditionalmembersof29
precinctboards,acountyclerkmayappointnotmorethantwo(2)students30
perprecincttoserveunderthedirectsupervisionofelectionboardmembers31
designatedbythecountyclerk.Astudentmaybeappointed,notwithstanding32
lackofeligibilitytovote,ifthestudentpossessesthefollowingqualifi-33
cations:34

a)Isatleastseventeensixteen(176)yearsofageatthetimeof35
theelectionforwhichheorsheisservingasamemberofanelection36
board.
