1.1 A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to health; appropriating money for a voluntary well water testing program.​
1.3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.4 Section 1. VOLUNTARY PRIVATE WELL WATER TESTING PROGRAM;​
1.5 APPROPRIATION.​
1.6 $....... in fiscal year 2024 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of​
1.7 health, in consultation with the Board of Regents of the University of Minnesota and​
1.8 interested nonprofit organizations, to develop a program that provides voluntary private​
1.9 well testing through local clinics and information about water safety, water treatment options,​
1.10 and private well owner water safety plans. This is a onetime appropriation.​
