1.1 A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to workforce development; appropriating money for a Center for Nursing​
1.3 Equity and Excellence at the University of Minnesota.​
1.4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA, THE CENTER​
1.6 FOR NURSING EQUITY AND EXCELLENCE.​
1.7 $250,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $250,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from the​
1.8 workforce development fund to the Board of Regents of the University of Minnesota to​
1.9 establish, in collaboration with Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, a Center for​
1.10 Nursing Equity and Excellence to address nursing workforce needs, including pathways​
1.11 into nursing education, innovations in nursing education, simulation in nursing, nursing​
1.12 workforce equality across all regions of Minnesota, and the well-being and flourishing of​
1.13 student nurses and nurses in clinical and academic practice.​
