heart of the State's capital; and

has a long and distinguished tradition of cultivating leadership,
citizenship, and life skills in young people across rural, suburban, and
urban communities in all 62 counties of New York State; and

WHEREAS, 4-H is preparing young people to be "Beyond Ready"-ready to
lead and ready to serve-as embodied in the young delegates who travel
from across the State to Albany to learn about the responsibilities of
citizenship, explore careers in government, and bring their voices to
the table on issues that affect youth, families, and communities; and

WHEREAS, Over the past 91 years, Capital Days has helped thousands
of young New Yorkers gain confidence, knowledge, and inspiration to
become engaged citizens, elected officials, educators, scientists,
entrepreneurs, and changemakers in every corner of society; and

WHEREAS, We commend Cornell Cooperative Extension, dedicated 4-H
staff members and volunteers, and the many state officials and public
servants who continue to support this vital program, ensuring that young
people are informed, empowered, and heard; and

WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize those
outstanding organizations that have made lasting contributions on behalf
of their fellow New Yorkers and have truly left an indelible mark on
this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
