 R E S O L U T I O N

   

        WHEREAS, Ronnie Davis is retiring as chief of the Kaufman 

  

 Fire Department in May 2025, drawing to a close 45 years of 

  

 exemplary service as a firefighter; and

  

        WHEREAS, Chief Davis began his career as a member of the Ennis 

  

 Fire Department, and after serving with the agency for several 

  

 years, he joined the Seagoville Fire Department, where he worked 

  

 for a decade and a half; and

  

        WHEREAS, In April 2017, this esteemed public servant was 

  

 named chief of the Kaufman Fire Department; over the course of his 

  

 tenure, he has distinguished himself in his duties, and his efforts 

  

 have enabled the agency to excel in its mission of protecting the 

  

 lives and property of area residents; and

  

        WHEREAS, Chief Davis holds master firefighter certification, 

  

 and he has received two Life Saving Awards; in 2021, he was 

  

 presented with the Carl "Skip" Thomas Memorial First Responder 

  

 Award for his outstanding leadership and dedication to serving his 

  

 community; in all his endeavors, he enjoys the love and support of 

  

 his wife and their family; and

  

        WHEREAS, Through his hard work, professionalism, and 

  

 commitment to public safety, Ronnie Davis has greatly benefited the 

  

 people of Kaufman and earned the respect and admiration of his 

  

 fellow firefighters, and he may indeed reflect with pride on a 

  

 career well spent as he embarks on the next exciting chapter of his 

  

 life; now, therefore, be it

  

        RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 89th Texas 

  

 Legislature hereby congratulate Ronnie Davis on his retirement as 

  

 chief of the Kaufman Fire Department and extend to him sincere best 

  

 wishes for the future; and, be it further

  

        RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 

  

 prepared for Chief Davis as an expression of high regard by the 

   

 Texas House of Representatives.
