A BILL ENTITLED

AN ACT concerning 1

Gaming – Sports and Event Wagering License – Maryland State Fair and 2
Agricultural Society, Inc. 3

FOR the purpose of requiring the State Lottery and Gaming Control Commission, under 4
certain circumstances, to issue a sports and event wagering license to a certain 5
entity; and generally relating to a license to offer sports and event wagering in the 6
State. 7

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 18

(a) In addition to the specific powers granted and duties imposed by this subtitle, 22
the Commission has the powers and duties set forth in this section. 23

(D) IF THE COMMISSION ISSUES AN ENTITY A LICENSE TO OFFER SPORTS 1
AND EVENT WAGERING IN THE STATE, THE COMMISSION SHALL ISSUE A LICENSE TO 2
OFFER SPORTS AND EVENT WAGERING IN THE STATE TO THE MARYLAND STATE 3
FAIR AND AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY, INC. 4

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect June 5
1, 2021. 6
