WHEREAS, Founded in Seattle, Washington, in 1913, Daughters of the
Nile is an international fraternal organization for women aged 18 and
older who are related by birth or marriage to a Shriner, Master Mason,

organization; and

ability to pay; and

WHEREAS, Since 1924, the Daughters of the Nile have contributed over
$75 million to Shriners Children's through their foundations, with more
than $2 million annually in direct financial support, and more than

handmade items, books, toys, and other essential resources valued at
over $1 million annually; and

WHEREAS, For a full century, Uarda Temple No. 24 has played an

Temple to help transport children and their families from the Mohawk
Valley region to Shriners medical centers in Springfield and Boston,
Massachusetts, and Erie and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and

WHEREAS, The women of Uarda Temple No. 24 represent generations of
committed volunteers and community leaders from all walks of life,

24 rightly celebrates a legacy of compassion, sisterhood, and meaningful
service that has enriched countless lives and continues to inspire
