1.1 A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for Open Arms of Minnesota.​
1.3 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.4 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; OPEN ARMS OF MINNESOTA.​
1.5 $1,500,000 in fiscal year 2023 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner​
1.6 of employment and economic development for a grant to Open Arms of Minnesota to​
1.7 construct, renovate, furnish, and equip a new kitchen and nutrition counseling center in​
1.8 Ramsey County to expand access to medically tailored meals for Minnesotans with​
1.9 life-threatening illnesses. This appropriation is onetime and is available until the project is​
1.10 completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.​
1.11 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.​
