A RESOLUTION
Commending Mariel Pock, Haralson County High School's 2022 STAR Teacher; and for1
other purposes.2
WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most3
important objective of the General Assembly; and4
WHEREAS, Mariel Pock has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital5
role that she has played in the teaching profession and her deep personal commitment to the6
education of the students of Georgia; and7
WHEREAS, Mariel Pock has earned distinction for teaching excellence and has been8
honored as Haralson County High School's 2022 STAR Teacher; and9
WHEREAS, in recognition of her contributions to the education and welfare of young people10
in this state, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the extraordinary11
accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding educator.12

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that13
the members of this body commend Mariel Pock, Haralson County High School's 202214
STAR Teacher, and express their most sincere best wishes for continued success.15
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized16
and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to17
Mariel Pock.18
