1.1 A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to state government; directing the commissioner of management and​
1.3 budget to include detailed medical assistance costs in the state forecast; requiring​
1.4 a report; amending Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 16A.103, by adding a​
1.5 subdivision.​
1.6 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.7 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2024, section 16A.103, is amended by adding a subdivision​
1.8 to read:​
1.9 Subd. 5.Medical assistance; detailed costs.(a) In the forecast of state revenues and​
1.10 expenditures under subdivision 1, the commissioner must include forecasted costs of each​
1.11 covered service provided under medical assistance.​
1.12 (b) At the time of delivering the forecast of state revenues and expenditures under​
1.13 subdivision 1, the commissioner, in consultation with the commissioner of human services,​
1.14 must submit a report to the chairs and ranking minority members of the legislative committees​
1.15 with jurisdiction over medical assistance that includes the information required under​
1.16 paragraph (a) and identifies the covered services that are mandatory benefits under federal​
1.17 law and regulations.​
