2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 

3Representatives are pleased to recognize organizations that 

4have made significant contributions to the economic and civic 

5vitality of their communities; and

6 WHEREAS, Banterra Bank is celebrating its 50th anniversary 

7of service to the people of southern Illinois and the 

8surrounding region; and

9 WHEREAS, Banterra Bank was founded in 1975 with the 

10mission of delivering quality banking services to individuals, 

11families, and businesses throughout southern Illinois; and

12 WHEREAS, Over the past five decades, Banterra Bank has 

13grown to become one of the region's leading financial 

14institutions, earning the trust of generations of customers 

15through its commitment to community values, financial 

16integrity, and customer service; and

17 WHEREAS, Banterra Bank has not only provided vital 

18financial services but has also supported local schools, 

19non-profits, and community organizations, demonstrating a 

20strong commitment to social responsibility and regional 

21development; and
