A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
relating to the creation of additional judicial districts composed
of Brazoria County.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
SECTIONA1.AASubchapter C, Chapter 24, Government Code, is
amended by adding Sections 24.60035 and 24.60036 to read as
follows:
Sec.A24.60035.AA490TH JUDICIAL DISTRICT (BRAZORIA COUNTY).
The 490th Judicial District is composed of Brazoria County.
Sec.A24.60036.AA491ST JUDICIAL DISTRICT (BRAZORIA COUNTY).
The 491st Judicial District is composed of Brazoria County.
SECTIONA2.AA(a) The 490th Judicial District is created on
the effective date of this Act.
(b)AAThe 491st Judicial District is created on September 1,
2026.
SECTIONA3.AAThis Act takes effect September 1, 2025.
