SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 142

A RESOLUTION
To recognize Wednesday, April 25, 2018, as GNO, Inc. NextGen Day at the state capitol.
WHEREAS, the GNO, Inc. NextGen Council, formed in 2012, is an initiative that
introduces new leadership into the organization, with the intent of benefitting from the vigor
and ideas of emerging regional leaders; and developing future economic leaders of the
organization and region; and
WHEREAS, it is composed of the "next generation" of business and community
leaders in the Greater New Orleans region; and
WHEREAS, the NextGen Council focuses on and drives outcomes in issues and
projects that are congruent with the overall GNO, Inc. mission; and
WHEREAS, the NextGen Council promotes positive relationships and partnerships
between GNO, Inc. and the region's business and community organizations; and
WHEREAS, the NextGen Council is holding its first day at the capitol in an effort
to educate members on policy matters important to economic development and job growth
in Louisiana.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Senate of the Legislature of Louisiana
does hereby recognize Wednesday, April 25, 2018, as GNO, Inc. NextGen Day at the state
capitol and does hereby commend these young professionals for their commitment to
economic development and job creation in Greater New Orleans and the state of Louisiana.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
NextGen Council.
