A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
To commend Tides Medical on receiving the Growth Leader Legend Award from Louisiana
Economic Development.
WHEREAS, the criteria for the Growth Leader Award from Louisiana Economic
Development include exceptional achievements in sustainable growth and innovation in the
biotech industry; and
WHEREAS, Tides Medical in Lafayette, Louisiana, is a pioneer in biotechnology;
the company acquires donated placentas to make advanced skin substitutes and works with
physicians to ensure that patients have access to a full range of treatment options; Tides
Medical provides well-paying, advanced job opportunities, generates economic prosperity
in the region, and contributes to Louisiana's growing prominence as a hub for biotech
innovation sources; and
WHEREAS, Louisiana Economic Development has honored Tides Medical with its
prestigious Growth Leader Legend Award; Tides Medical is most deserving of the highest
recognition for its innovations and leadership in the biotechnology sector.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Legislature of Louisiana does hereby
commend Tides Medical for receiving the Growth Leader Legend Award from Louisiana
Economic Development and does hereby extend best wishes for continued success and
prominence in the field of biotechnology.
