1.1 A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for improvements to the Capitol​
1.3 tunnel.​
1.4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; CAPITOL TUNNEL.​
1.6 $8,500,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner​
1.7 of administration to design, construct, and equip improvements to bring a portion of the​
1.8 tunnel under Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and to the east to the State Capitol​
1.9 into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. This appropriation is onetime​
1.10 and is available until the project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes,​
1.11 section 16A.642.​
1.12 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.​
