1Relating to: an advisory referendum on legalization of medical marijuana.

Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau

This joint resolution calls for an advisory referendum on the question of 
whether Wisconsin should allow for the use of and safe access to marijuana for 
medical purposes by individuals with debilitating medical conditions with a written 
recommendation from a licensed Wisconsin physician. The referendum is to be held 
at the next general election occurring not sooner than 45 days after adoption of the 
resolution.

senate, the assembly concurring, That the following 
3question be submitted, for advisory purposes only, to the voters of this state at the 
4next general election occurring not sooner than 45 days after adoption of this 
5resolution:

7individuals with debilitating medical conditions to use and safely access marijuana 
8for medical purposes if those individuals have a written recommendation from a
