1SENATE RESOLUTION

2 WHEREAS, Dedicated law enforcement civilian personnel, 

3including community service officers, records staff, animal 

4control officers, and others, serve the citizens of Illinois 

5to provide them with vital services; and

6 WHEREAS, Law enforcement civilian personnel are crucial to 

7assisting law enforcement in providing the best public safety 

8services; and

9 WHEREAS, The efficiency of the qualified and dedicated 

10personnel who staff civilian law enforcement positions are 

11substantially influenced by people's attitudes and 

12understandings of the importance of the work they perform; and

13 WHEREAS, Law enforcement civilian personnel serving the 

14State of Illinois exhibit professionalism, efficiency, and 

15compassion during the performance of their essential duties; 

16therefore, be it

17 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL 

18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we declare March 24 

19through March 30, 2025 as Civilian Law Enforcement Personnel 

20Week in the State of Illinois.
