WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize the
dedication and commitment of our young people who distinguish themselves
through excellence in musical competition; and

WHEREAS, Music competition provides an opportunity for students to
exhibit their practical skills to an audience, thereby giving them a
sense of pride in their hard work and efforts; and

long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Roslyn High School Marching Band upon the occasion of

York on Sunday, October 27, 2024; and

WHEREAS, Under the able leadership of Band Director Frank Mauriello,
the Roslyn Marching Bulldogs earned a score of 94.3 for their show,

WHEREAS, No marching band can succeed without outstanding talent
throughout its entire roster, and such was the case for the 2024 Roslyn

WHEREAS, It should be further noted that excellence in field band is
possible only through vigorous practice and discipline, habits which
will guide these young musicians to a lifetime of success in the musical
field or other career fields; and

as a proud testament to the leadership of Band Director Frank Mauriello,

of excellence and achievement which is the district's hallmark and
tradition; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor the members of the Roslyn High School Marching Band who positively
represent their school, who are role models to their classmates, who
exemplify the marching ensemble's goal of continued excellence, and who
have brought great pride to their community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
