for other purposes.

erence for domestically manufactured or produced food
for military working dogs, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. PREFERENCE FOR DOMESTIC FOODS FOR MILI-3
TARY WORKING DOGS. 4
(a) IN GENERAL.—Chapter 287 of title 10, United 5
States Code, is amended by adding at the end the fol-6
lowing new section: 7

‘‘SEC. 3906. PREFERENCE FOR DOMESTIC FOODS FOR MILI-1
TARY WORKING DOGS. 2
‘‘With respect to the acquisition of food for military 3
working dogs by the Defense Logistics Agency, the Direc-4
tor of the Defense Logistic Agency shall give a preference 5
for the acquisition of food that is manufactured or pro-6
duced— 7
‘‘(1) in the United States; 8
‘‘(2) by an entity that is based in the United 9
States; and 10
‘‘(3) using only ingredients and materials that 11
are grown, mined, manufactured, or produced in the 12
United States.’’. 13
(b) CLERICAL AMENDMENT.—The table of chapters 14
for chapter 287 of title 10, United States Code, is amend-15
ed by adding at the end the following new item: 16
‘‘3906. Preference for domestic foods for military working dogs.’’.
