HOUSE BILL NO. 1564

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES 1
OF THE CITY OF PORT GIBSON TO ASSIST IN PAYING THE COSTS 2
ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW WATER 3
WELL AND RELATED EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 4
2024. 5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 6
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 7
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 8
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the governing authorities of 9
the City of Port Gibson, Mississippi, to assist in paying the 10
costs associated with the construction and development of a new 11
water well and related equipment and facilities, for the fiscal 12
year beginning July 1, 2023, and ending June 30, 2024............. 13

SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 15
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 16
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 17
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 18

her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 19
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 20
SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 21
and after July 1, 2023. 22
