Gillian Kaiser upon the occasion of herHONORING
designation as recipient of the Silver Beaver Award
by the Boy Scouts of America, Hudson Valley Council
It is incumbent upon the people of the State of New York toWHEREAS,
recognize and acknowledge those within our midst who have made
significant contributions to the quality of life therein; and
From time to time, this Legislative Body takes note ofWHEREAS,
certain extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their
valued contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and
This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor GillianWHEREAS,
Kaiser upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of the Silver
Beaver Award by the Boy Scouts of America, Hudson Valley Council,
celebrated at its Annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon in Newburgh, New
York; and
The Silver Beaver Award is bestowed upon an individual whoWHEREAS,
implements the Scouting program and performs community service through
hard work, self-sacrifice, dedication, and many years of service; and
Recipients of this award are registered adult leaders whoWHEREAS,
have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the
council; and
Gillian Kaiser received the Silver Beaver Award for herWHEREAS,
noteworthy service of exceptional character to youth, upon the
recommendation of the local council; and
This remarkable woman distinguished herself through herWHEREAS,
sincere dedication and substantial contribution to the welfare of her
community; throughout her entire life, Gillian Kaiser has stood constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and
Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by anWHEREAS,
individual for the benefit of others which Gillian Kaiser has displayed
throughout her life; and
It is the sense of this Legislative Body that whenWHEREAS,
individuals of such noble aims and accomplishments are brought to our
attention, they should be celebrated and recognized by all the citizens
of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations toRESOLVED,
honor Gillian Kaiser upon the occasion of her designation as recipient
of the Silver Beaver Award by the Boy Scouts of America, Hudson Valley
Council; and be it further

That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, beRESOLVED,
transmitted to Gillian Kaiser.
