R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS,LGBTQIA+studentsdemonstratedremarkablecourage
and initiativeby testifyingat the TexasStateCapitolon behalfof
the rightsof the LGBTQIA+communitiesduringthe 2021legislative
sessions;and
WHEREAS,Travelingto Austinfromacrossthe LoneStarState,
theseoutstandingyoungTexansappearedbeforeHouseandSenate
committeesand spokewithadmirablepassionand eloquenceon urgent
legislativemattersof greatimportto theLGBTQIA+communities,
andtheirtestimonyensuredthatthevoicesof LGBTQIA+young
peoplewillnot be silenced;and
WHEREAS,ThestudentswhotestifiedincludedCharlie,
Kayden,Sunny,Clara,Ben,Indigo,Libby,Laur,Landon,Grayson,
Kai,Maya,Eli,and Adelyn;and
WHEREAS,Eachof theseyoungLGBTQIA+leadershashelped
furtherinclusionand equalityin the LoneStarState,and theymay
indeedtakepridein knowingthattheirbravery,commitment,and
determinationare an inspirationto all Texans;now,therefore,be
it
RESOLVED,Thatthe Houseof Representativesof the 87thTexas
Legislature,3rd CalledSession,herebycommendthe LGBTQIA+young
peoplewhotestifiedbeforetheTexasLegislaturein 2021and
extendto themsincerebestwishesforthefuture;and,be it
further
RESOLVED,Thatan  officialcopyof  thisresolutionbe
