HONORING the CV-TEC Division of Champlain Valley
Educational Services upon the occasion of its
designation as recipient of the 2025 Economic
Development Partner of the Year Award

WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to recognize the
achievements of those individuals and businesses that contribute
substantially to the economic vitality of their communities, thereby
enhancing the economic well-being of the entire Empire State; and

WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
the CV-TEC Division of Champlain Valley Educational Services (CVES) upon
the occasion of its designation as recipient of the 2025 Economic
Development Partner of the Year Award by the North Country Chamber of
Commerce at its 113th Annual Awards Dinner on Friday, January 31, 2025,
at the Warren Ballroom at SUNY Plattsburgh; and

WHEREAS, CV-TEC is the Career and Technical Education Division of
CVES, and is the primary provider of Career and Technical Education and
Adult Literacy programs and services for secondary and post-secondary
students in Clinton and Essex Counties; and

WHEREAS, This dedicated business' commitment to providing dynamic,
high-quality education and technical training has made them a
cornerstone of the North Country's economic success; its exceptional
leadership in workforce development and its vital role in driving
regional economic growth has made CV-TEC a worthy recipient of the 2025
Economic Development Partner of the Year Award; and

WHEREAS, Through innovative training programs like the Aerospace
Coatings Applicator Specialist (ACAS) certification and their
partnership on specialized programs such as welding training at the
Institute for Advanced Manufacturing, CV-TEC has empowered both students
and local businesses with the skills and expertise necessary to thrive
in today's evolving job market; and

WHEREAS, In addition to its program development, CV-TEC has shown
steadfast commitment to growing the workforce and enhancing the region's
long-term prosperity; their investment in a new training center and
proactive leadership in key initiatives at the Institute for Advanced
Manufacturing have established the region as a competitive hub for
manufacturing and skilled trades, an accomplishment typically associated
with much larger metropolitan areas, thusly exemplifying its admirable
commitment and dedication to the residents of the North Country and to
New York State at large; and

WHEREAS, CV-TEC continues to serve as a catalyst for growth by
fostering partnerships with industry leaders, educational institutions,
and community stakeholders, making them a truly deserving recipient of
this award; and

WHEREAS, Businesses that give of their time and energies to serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and

WHEREAS, It is with great pleasure that this Legislative Body
acknowledges this exceptional business and its contributions to the
local and State economies, fully confident that it will continue to
enjoy the sparkling successes it has experienced thus far; now,
therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor the CV-TEC Division of Champlain Valley Educational Services upon
the occasion of its designation as recipient of the 2025 Economic
Development Partner of the Year Award by the North Country Chamber of
Commerce; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
