A house RESOLUTION

To commend the carolina springs middle school
archery team, their coaches, and school leaders for an exceptional season, and
to recognize their victory in the 2024-2025 South Carolina NAtional archery in the
schools program (NASP) state championship.

Whereas, the South
Carolina House of Representatives, is pleased to recognize and celebrate the outstanding
accomplishments of the Carolina Springs Middle School Archery Team of Lexington
County, who captured the 2025 South Carolina NASP Archery Bullseye State
Championship with a tournament-leading score of 3,329, surpassing even the high
school division champions by 29 points; and

Whereas, throughout the
2024-2025 NASP archery season, the Carolina Springs Archery Team demonstrated
unwavering dedication and a pursuit of excellence that exceeded all
expectations. From their very first practice, it was clear this group had the
potential to achieve something remarkable. Determined to make history, they set
ambitious goals: to capture their fifth Bullseye state title since 2017, to
once again surpass the 3,300-mark in tournament scoring, a feat first achieved
by them in 2019-2020, and to remain undefeated throughout the Bullseye season;
and

Whereas, throughout the
season, the team demonstrated exceptional dedication and hard work,
accomplishing all their goals. They recognized that their only competition was
themselves and, as a result, set a competitive goal for each tournament: to
outperform their teammates. This mindset propelled the team to new heights, and
ultimately, they proudly secured their fifth state championship in school
history; and

Whereas, the Huskies achieved
remarkable results during the season, including 2024-2025 South Carolina NASP
Bullseye State Champions, 2024-2025 South Caroliina NASP IBO Runner Up, Bullseye
Competition Season Record 16-0, IBO Competition Season Record: 5-1, Carolina
Springs Middle School's Top Bullseye Team Score 3,355 (highest in South
Carolina), Top IBO Team Score: 1657 (second in South Carolina). Additionally,
the team shot over 3,300 as a group seven times this year, setting a record as
the only South Carolina team to achieve this multiple times in a season; and

Whereas, the team's
success has flourished under the leadership of Head Coach Todd Fulmer and assistant
coaches Erin Areheart, Mark Kyzer and John Roberts. Their guidance, compassion,
and unwavering commitment have been key in helping Carolina Springs Middle
School become the most successful middle school archery team in South
Carolina's history. The Huskies attribute their success to their strong
teamwork, the ongoing support of their families, and the encouragement of the
school's administration, particularly Dr. Patrice Green, principal, for her steadfast
backing of the program this year; and

Whereas, with
admiration, the House of Representatives commends the Carolina Springs Middle
School Archery Team for their outstanding achievements and is confident that
these young athletes will continue to excel in the future. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House
of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, commend
the Carolina Springs Middle School Archery Team, their coaches, and school leaders
for an exceptional season and recognize their victory in the 2024-2025 South
Carolina National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) State Championship.
