1.1 A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to agriculture; appropriating money for a report on regional and local food​
1.3 systems; requiring a report.​
1.4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; REGIONAL AND LOCAL FOOD SYSTEMS​
1.6 REPORT.​
1.7 $10,000 in fiscal year 2023 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner​
1.8 of agriculture to study and report on the state of regional and local food systems in Minnesota,​
1.9 including recommendations for strengthening these systems. No later than February 1, 2023,​
1.10 the commissioner must submit the report to the legislative committees with jurisdiction​
1.11 over agriculture policy and finance.​
