1HOUSE RESOLUTION

2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 

3Representatives wish to congratulate Larry Forssberg on the 

4occasion of his retirement as economic development director of 

5the Village of Westmont; and

6 WHEREAS, Larry Forssberg was instrumental in the creation 

7of the Westmont Economic Development Partnership in 2013, and 

8he subsequently took on the role of economic development 

9director; and

10 WHEREAS, Larry Forssberg has been an invaluable part of 

11the Village of Westmont and DuPage County for the past 20 

12years, and his contributions have made him an integral figure 

13in the community; as president of the Westmont Chamber of 

14Commerce and Tourism Bureau, he has played a crucial role in 

15its growth, particularly through the development of 

16specialized committees and the expansion of its membership 

17base; and

18 WHEREAS, Larry Forssberg's engagement extends beyond the 

19Westmont Chamber of Commerce, connecting with local residents 

20through the Westmont Citizens' Police Academy, the Westmont 

21Citizens' Fire Academy, the Rotary Club of Westmont, and the 

22Westmont Lions Club; he also created the Westmont Auto Mile

1Committee to connect and promote the area's car dealerships; 

2and

3 WHEREAS, Larry Forssberg serves on the board of directors 

4for the DuPage Convention and Visitors Bureau, where he 

5advocates for all communities within DuPage County, and he is 

6also a member of the Chamber of Commerce Executives and the 

7West Suburban Chamber of Commerce Executives; and

8 WHEREAS, Larry Forssberg remains actively involved in his 

9home community of Riverside, where he is a dedicated membe
