A house RESOLUTION

to express strong support for the Big Homie Lil
Homie Mentoring Program and its mission to uplift and empower youth through
meaningful mentorship; to encourage community members, local leaders,
businesses, and organizations to partner with, volunteer for, and invest in the
success of the program; and to encourage the exploration of opportunities to
provide resources, visibility, and institutional support to expand the outreach
and impact of the program.

Whereas, Big Homie Lil
Homie is a nonprofit organization that uplifts young males by molding and
shaping them into great men of society through mentoring, and

Whereas, the Big Homie
Lil Homie mentoring program is designed to connect experienced, responsible
mentors, Big Homies, with youth, Lil Homies, to foster personal growth,
leadership development, accountability, and community engagement; and

Whereas, the program promotes
values including respect, integrity, education, conflict resolution, and civic
responsibility; and

Whereas, mentoring
relationships have been shown to improve outcomes in education, to reduce
involvement in negative behaviors, and to strengthen community ties; and

Whereas, the Big Homie Lil
Homie mentoring program seeks to create safe spaces for dialogue, skill building,
and empowerment, particularly for male youth who may face systemic barriers or
limited access to resources; and

Whereas, supporting mentorship
initiatives contributes to building stronger, safer, and more connected
communities. Now, therefore,
