1HOUSE RESOLUTION

2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 

3Representatives wish to congratulate Jeffrey Tischhauser on 

4receiving the 2026 Republican Recognition Award, presented by 

5the Bond County Republican Central Committee at the Lincoln 

6Day Dinner; and

7 WHEREAS, Jeffrey Tischhauser has served Mills Township for 

841 years; he is currently a township trustee and was first 

9elected to the role in 1985; as a trustee, he has helped to 

10craft policies and ensure necessary funding for local 

11services; and

12 WHEREAS, Jeffrey Tischhauser was elected township 

13supervisor in 1989 and served in that capacity for 36 years, 

14stepping down in 2025; as supervisor, he effectively managed 

15township operations and provided essential services to the 

16community; one of the biggest improvements during his time as 

17supervisor was the construction of the township shed and 

18meeting room; and

19 WHEREAS, Jeffrey Tischhauser is a lifelong Republican; he 

20and his wife, Nancy, have one daughter and two grandsons; 

21therefore, be it

1 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 

2HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 

3we congratulate Jeffrey Tischhauser on receiving the Bond 

4County Republican Central Committee's 2026 Republican 

5Recognition Reward; and be it further

6 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 

7presented to Jeffrey Tischhauser as an expression of our 

8esteem and respect.
