R-332 Page 1 of 1 2026 VT LEG #389332 v.1 No. R-332. House concurrent resolution congratulating Mount Mansfield Union High School Cougar Bea Molson on winning her second girls’ individual State tennis championship. (H.C.R.274) Offered by Representatives Graning of Jericho, Brown of Richmond, Squirrell of Underhill, Stevens of Waterbury, and Wood of Waterbury Offered by Senators Chittenden, Lyons and Ram Hinsdale Whereas, in 2022, ninth grader Bea Molson stunned her older competitors when she clinched the girls’ individual tennis title, and Whereas, her State tournament on-court performances in 2023 and 2024, although praiseworthy, unfortunately did not garner the ultimate prize, and Whereas, during her senior year as a Mount Mansfield High School Cougar, Bea Molson polished her tennis skills and carefully focused on her objective each time she met an opponent on the tennis court, an effort resulting in her winning all her regular season matches and the top playoff seed, and Whereas, the concentration she displayed on the court in her prior 2025 matches was evident at the State tournament as she proceeded through all the preliminary rounds to secure a final match berth, where she defeated the third-seeded player 6–4, 6–3 to capture a second individual State crown, now therefore be it Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives That the General Assembly congratulates Mount Mansfield Union High School Cougar Bea Molson on winning her second girls’ individual State tennis championship, and be it further Resolved: That the Secretary of State be directed to send a copy of this resolution to Bea Molson.
