A house RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE AND
COMMEND THE CADETS AND COACH OF THE LOWER RICHLAND HIGH SCHOOL ARMY JROTC DRILL
TEAM FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE AND TO CONGRATULATE THEM FOR THEIR MANY
ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR.

Whereas, the South
Carolina House of Representatives is pleased to learn that the members of the Lower
Richland High School Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) have had a
successful and rewarding school year thus far; and

Whereas, focused and
ready for the challenge, the Lower Richland Army JROTC drill team competed at
the Palmetto State Drill Championship, held December 6, 2025, at Lower Richland
High School, and placed first overall for the fourth year in a row; and

Whereas, in addition to
winning the state competition, the drill team won first place overall in the
Ridge View Midlands Drill Competition in September and the Lugoff-Elgin Drill
Competition in November; and

Whereas, for the fifth
consecutive year, the team will compete in the regional drill competition to be
held in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in March; and

Whereas, in a program
that demands control, discipline, concentration, and precision, Sergeant First
Class Tracy Vaulx, the team's coach, maximized his own skills and experience to
cultivate within his cadets citizenship, service, and personal responsibility, lessons
that will both prepare them for competition and stand them in good stead
throughout their lives; and

Whereas, the South
Carolina House of Representatives values the pride and recognition that the Lower
Richland JROTC cadets have brought to their school and to their community, and
the members look forward to following their continued accomplishments in the
days ahead. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the
South Carolina House of Representatives,
by this resolution, recognize and commend the cadets and coach of the Lower
Richland High School Army JROTC drill team for their outstanding performance
and congratulate them for their many accomplishments in the 2025-2026 school
year.

Be it further resolved
that a copy of this resolution be presented to Sergeant First Class Tracy Vaulx
and Principal Latoyna Williams.
