A BILL ENTITLED

AN ACT concerning 1

Health Insurance – Medical Stop–Loss Insurance – Repeal of Sunset 2

FOR the purpose of repealing the termination date of certain provisions of law relating to 3
medical stop–loss insurance; and generally relating to medical stop–loss insurance. 4

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, 5
Chapter 494 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 2015 6
Section 4 7

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, 8
That the Laws of Maryland read as follows: 9

Chapter 494 of the Acts of 2015 10

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect June 11
1, 2015. [It shall remain effective for a period of 3 years and 1 month and, at the end of 12
June 30, 2018, with no further action required by the General Assembly, this Act shall be 13
abrogated and of no further force and effect.] 14

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect June 15
1, 2018. 16
