SENATE BILL NO. 2899

AN ACT MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CITY OF PEARL, 1
MISSISSIPPI, FOR THE PURPOSE OF PAYING COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH A 2
LIGHTING PROJECT ON U.S. HIGHWAY 80 FROM CONCOURSE DRIVE TO THE 3
EAST CITY LIMITS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 2027. 4
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI: 5
SECTION 1. The following sum, or so much of it as may be 6
necessary, is appropriated out of any money in the State General 7
Fund not otherwise appropriated, to the City of Pearl, 8
Mississippi, for the purpose of paying costs associated with a 9
lighting project on U.S. Highway 80 from Concourse Drive to the 10
east city limits for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026, and 11
ending June 30, 2027................................. $ 400,000.00. 12
SECTION 2. The money appropriated by this act shall be paid 13
by the State Treasurer out of any money in the State General Fund 14
not otherwise appropriated, upon warrants issued by the State 15
Fiscal Officer; and the State Fiscal Officer shall issue his or 16
her warrants upon requisitions signed by the proper person, 17
officer or officers in the manner provided by law. 18

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from 19
and after July 1, 2026. 20
