To prohibit the use of rare earth minerals originating from
Taliban-controlled Afghanistan in United States sold and
manufactured components.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-1
tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, 2
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. 3
This Act may be cited as the ‘‘No Profits for Taliban- 4
Controlled Mines Act’’. 5

SEC. 2. PROHIBITION ON USE OF RARE EARTH MINERALS 1
ORIGINATING FROM TALIBAN-CONTROLLED 2
AFGHANISTAN IN UNITED STATES SOLD AND 3
MANUFACTURED COMPONENTS. 4
Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the 5
President shall take such actions as may be necessary and 6
appropriate to prohibit the use of rare earth minerals orig-7
inating from Taliban-controlled Afghanistan in United 8
States sold and manufactured components. 9
