team member Claire Hartley turned in a score of 290 and garnered fifth-place
honors in the girls' competition as an individual Bullseye award winner; and

Whereas, the gifted
coaches of the Pelion archers, Head Coach Larry Pool and his assistants, David
Taylor and Maria Bolen, proudly watched as their fine athletes shot their way
to the top and earned the right to titles and other awards only champions get to
take home; and

Whereas, prior to the
national championship, the Pelion archers attended the 2024 Eastern National
Championship in Louisville, Kentucky, on May 11, 2024. There, they upheld their
high reputation, finishing the competition as NASP/IBO 3D champions with a
score of 1,702. The team also placed fifteenth in the 2024 NASP Eastern

Whereas, proud of these

performance. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House
