1SENATE RESOLUTION

2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 

3to learn of the death of Beverley Gumbs-Crawley of Wheeling, 

4who passed away on December 23, 2025; and

5 WHEREAS, Beverley Gumbs-Crawley was born on May 21, 1964; 

6she graduated from the University of the Virgin Islands with a 

7Bachelor of Arts in English in 1990; and

8 WHEREAS, Beverley Gumbs-Crawley most recently worked as an 

9account manager, serving the health, wellness, and fitness 

10industry; she had also served with a variety of businesses in 

11client services, as a customer services consultant and media 

12analyst, and as a public relations manager; and

13 WHEREAS, Beverley Gumbs-Crawley was the beloved wife of 34 

14years of Michael Crawley; the loving mother of Asher (Dylan) 

15Saks-Crawley and Aidra "Haven" Crawley (Josh Graff); the fond 

16sister of Clifford (Charlene), LeRoy (Beverly), Hillary 

17(Rawle), Hermoine (Melford), Randoline, Leona (Edmond), Mavis 

18(Everton "Percil"), Sonia (Arnold), Merclyn "Dolly", and 

19Yvette; and aunt, cousin, and friend of many; therefore, be it

20 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL 

21ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 

SR0556- 2 -LRB104 17735 MST 31166 r

1Beverley Gumbs-Crawley and extend our sincere condolences to 

2her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 

3further

4 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 

5presented to the family of Beverley Gumbs-Crawley as a symbol 

6of our deepest sympathy.
