1.1 A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to capital investment; appropriating money for a community health and​
1.3 wellness center in the city of Duluth.​
1.4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; LAKE SUPERIOR COMMUNITY HEALTH AND​
1.6 WELLNESS CENTER.​
1.7 $250,000 in fiscal year 2026 is appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner​
1.8 of employment and economic development for a grant to Lake Superior Community Health​
1.9 Center to predesign and design a regional, multipurpose health and wellness center to be​
1.10 located in western Duluth to serve as a community center and resource hub for health and​
1.11 wellness programming and services. This appropriation is onetime and is available until the​
1.12 project is completed or abandoned, subject to Minnesota Statutes, section 16A.642.​
1.13 EFFECTIVE DATE.This section is effective the day following final enactment.​
