A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1
AN ACT EXTENDING THE EXTRATERRITORIAL ZONING JURISDICTION OF 2
THE CITY OF MOREHEAD CITY. 3
The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 4
Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of G.S. 160A-360, the City of 5
Morehead City may exercise the extraterritorial jurisdiction powers granted by Article 6
19 of Chapter 160A of the General Statutes within a defined area extending not more 7
than two miles beyond the corporate limits, provided that the territorial limits to the 8
west shall not extend beyond McCabe Road. 9
Sec. 2. This act is effective upon ratification. 10
