SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

 Appropriates $2,000,000 from the Local Food Infrastructure Grant Fund to the Department of Agriculture for the purpose of making grants under the Local Food Infrastructure Grant Program authorized by the Local Food Infrastructure Grant Act. Effective July 1, 2025.

1 AN ACT making appropriations.

2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, 

3represented in the General Assembly:

4 Section 5. The amount of $2,000,000, or so much of that 

5amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Local 

6Food Infrastructure Grant Fund to the Department of 

7Agriculture for the purpose of making grants under the Local 

8Food Infrastructure Grant Program authorized by the Local Food 

9Infrastructure Grant Act.

10 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 

112025.
